Accendo Estate was founded in 2013 by Bart and Daphne Araujo, the couple behind the legendary Araujo Estate (now Eisele Vineyard), after the sale of that property. The name comes from the Latin word for "to illuminate or inspire." Accendo crafts Cabernet Sauvignon and a Bordeaux-styled Sauvignon Blanc from select Oakville and Yountville vineyard sites, including a small estate parcel in Oakville. Ownership passed to the Araujos' children in 2023, then to a new group led by vintner Jack Bittner and the Bettinelli family in 2025.
