Almaviva is Chile's grand cru: a 1997 joint venture between Baron Philippe de Rothschild (of Château Mouton Rothschild) and Concha y Toro, producing a single Cabernet-based blend from the famed Puente Alto vineyard in the Maipo Valley's Andean foothills. It stands with Ornellaia and Opus One among the great Bordeaux-blend collaborations of the New World.
