Ancient Peaks Winery

Ancient Peaks is owned by three longtime local farming families — the Filipponis, Rossis, and Wittstroms — whose estate Margarita Vineyard is the sole vineyard in the Santa Margarita Ranch AVA, the southernmost and one of the coolest growing areas in Paso Robles. The site's rare mix of five soil types, including an ancient seabed studded with oyster fossils, gives the wines their structure — seen in the flagship Oyster Ridge red blend and its well-regarded, value-driven Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel.
