Antinori Napa Valley, formerly known as Antica, is the Atlas Peak estate of Italy's Antinori family, one of the oldest wine families in the world. The family first invested in a Napa partnership in 1985 and took over operations in 1993 after buying out its partner, then added 24 acres from neighbor June Townsend in 1998. The original Antica name combined Anti from Antinori and Ca from California; the winery was rebranded as Antinori Napa Valley in 2023. The estate covers about 1,210 acres on Atlas Peak, with roughly 540 planted, at elevations of about 1,500 to 1,800 feet, making it one of the largest mountain vineyard holdings in Napa Valley. The winery at 3700 Soda Canyon Road makes Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, and its top bottling, the Townsend Cabernet Sauvignon, was first made in 2008 and usually runs under 300 cases. On HeyVino it is listed separately from the family's Italian estates.
