Caymus Vineyards is one of Napa Valley's most famous family wineries, founded in Rutherford in 1972 by Charlie and Lorna Wagner and now led by their son, winemaker Chuck Wagner. Its signature Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon — and the flagship Special Selection, twice named Wine Spectator's Wine of the Year — helped define the rich, plush style of modern Napa Cabernet. The Wagner family portfolio has since grown to include Conundrum, Mer Soleil, and Emmolo.
