Founded in 2005 by Michigan entrepreneur Tom Celani, who once owned the Cal-Neva at Lake Tahoe (formerly Frank Sinatra's), and his wife Vicki, at the foot of the Vaca Mountains. The longtime winemaker was Mark Herold, co-founder of Merus, and the flagship blend is called Tenacious.
