Denner Vineyards farms a 156-acre estate on the far western edge of Paso Robles, in the Templeton Gap corridor where ocean fog reaches inland to moderate the heat. Founder Ron Denner began planting in 1999 on former dry-farmed barley fields, and winemaker Anthony Yount — who started as a Denner cellar hand before working at neighboring Villa Creek — built the estate's reputation on Rhône and Bordeaux-style blends like Dirt Worshipper, aged with native-yeast fermentation and no fining or filtration.
