Favia is the family winery of Annie Favia and Andy Erickson, two of the most respected names behind the scenes in Napa Valley. Annie is a viticulturist who grew up on a Connecticut farm and studied French literature, while Andy, originally from Indiana, earned a master's degree in viticulture and enology at UC Davis and has made wine for several of Napa's top estates. After a first wine in 2001 that was never released, Favia's first commercial vintage came in 2003. The couple's home and winery sit at 2031 Coombsville Road in Napa, and the lineup is built around small lots of Bordeaux and RhΓ΄ne varieties: Cerro Sur and La Magdalena reds, Cabernet Sauvignon from Coombsville and Oakville, the Linea Sauvignon Blanc, the Suize Viognier and an Untitled blend. The family is planning a move to an Oakville property, with a first harvest there projected for 2028. Favia's wines are made in small amounts and are prized by collectors.
