Ghost Block Estate Wines is the umbrella company of the Pelissa–Hoxsey family, a fifth-generation Napa Valley farming dynasty that traces its roots to 1903, when Joseph Pelissa arrived from Liguria, Italy and purchased his first 35 acres with a single gold coin. The family's 650-acre holdings in Oakville and Yountville have been 100% certified organic since 1995, and they also operate the Napa Wine Company, a respected custom-crush facility in Oakville. Their portfolio spans three estate labels — Ghost Block, Oakville Winery, and Elizabeth Rose — with Andy Hoxsey and his daughters Kendall and Morgaen leading the operation today.
