Krupp Brothers was founded by Dr. Jan Krupp and his brother Bart Krupp, who played an outsized role in opening up the high country of Atlas Peak to vineyards. Beginning with land clearing in the early 1990s, the brothers developed the Stagecoach Vineyard, which grew to more than 1,100 acres and about 600,000 vines and became one of the most sought-after sources of mountain Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa Valley, supplying fruit to many well-known wineries. The family sold Stagecoach in its entirety to Gallo in early 2017, but the Krupp Brothers label continues. The wines are made at the winery on Hardman Lane and poured at a tasting room at 714 First Street in downtown Napa. Signature bottlings include The Doctor and Synchrony, Cabernet-based reds that reflect the rocky, volcanic soils of Atlas Peak. Bart Krupp died in early 2024.
