Founded in 1998 by Clay Mauritson, a sixth-generation member of a Swedish grape-growing family that homesteaded the Rockpile area in 1868. Much of the family's historic ranch now lies beneath Lake Sonoma; Clay released his first Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel after a football career at the University of Oregon.
