Odette Estate is the Stags Leap District member of the PlumpJack Group, the wine company owned by Gordon Getty, Gavin Newsom and John Conover. The group bought the property in early 2012; until 2011 it had been home to Steltzner Winery, one of the district's long-established names. The estate sits at 5998 Silverado Trail on 45 acres, with about 38 planted to vines, in the Stags Leap District's well-drained soils that are prized for soft, polished Cabernet Sauvignon. Odette quickly made a mark: its 2012 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon received 100 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. The lineup focuses on estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Reserve Cabernet, plus a Reserve Chardonnay. Together with PlumpJack in Oakville and Cade on Howell Mountain, Odette gives the group a footprint across three of Napa's most distinct Cabernet districts, and the tasting room on Silverado Trail is a natural stop for visitors exploring the Stags Leap District.
