Pulido-Walker is the winery of husband and wife Mark Pulido and Donna Walker, whose first commercial release was the 2010 vintage. Their estate covers 115 acres in the southern part of the Mount Veeder appellation, with about 15 acres planted to vines on its steep hillsides. In 2019 they added the Policy Vineyard in Yountville, and they also work with fruit from the Melanson Vineyard. The wines are made by Thomas Brown, also known as Thomas Rivers Brown, one of the most acclaimed winemakers in Napa Valley, and the lineup centers on Cabernet Sauvignon along with Chardonnay. Mount Veeder fruit gives the Cabernets firm tannins and dark, savory flavors, while the valley-floor Yountville site adds a riper, rounder side. Production is small and sold mainly through the mailing list. Pulido and Walker are also co-owners of Mending Wall, a winery on the Silverado Trail, so their work spans two related labels.
