Regusci Winery sits on one of the oldest working ranches in the Stags Leap District. Its stone winery was built in 1878 under Terrill Grigsby and was originally called the T.L. Grigsby-Occidental Winery. In 1932 Gaetano Regusci bought the old Grigsby Ranch and stone winery, and the Regusci family has farmed the land ever since. Today the ranch covers 286 acres along the Silverado Trail at 5584 Silverado Trail, with about 160 acres of vines, making it one of the larger family holdings in the district. The flagship is The Patriarch, a red blend honoring the family's founder, and the lineup also includes Angelo's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, The Elders, The Matrona, a Merlot-based blend, Zinfandel, Mary's Cuvée Chardonnay and a Rosé of Pinot Noir. The 1878 stone winery still stands at the center of the ranch, a reminder of how long wine has been made in this corner of the district.
