Reverie was founded by Norm Kiken and his late wife, Evelyn, who bought 40 acres on Diamond Mountain in 1993 and released their first vintage in 1996. The winery became known for mountain Cabernet Sauvignon and for a wider range of reds than most Napa producers, including Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Barbera and Tempranillo. In early 2017 Grant Long and his wife, Megan, bought Reverie, and the winery's home is now a 26-acre hillside property at 264 North Fork Crystal Springs Road in St. Helena, where about 3.37 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon were planted in April 2025. The tasting space was remodeled in 2023, and visits are by appointment. Reverie produces roughly 4,500 cases a year, with a lineup that includes Cabernet Sauvignon, a Special Reserve, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Barbera, Tempranillo and Grenache Blanc. For HeyVino readers, Reverie offers a small-winery experience with more variety than the typical Napa Cabernet house.
