Robert Mondavi Winery is the most iconic name in California wine history, founded by Robert Mondavi in 1966 after his split from Charles Krug — an act that effectively launched the modern Napa Valley wine industry. Located in Oakville, the winery was the first major new Napa Valley winery built after Prohibition and pioneered the concept of world-class California wine.
