R.Y.E.W. (Robert Young Estate Winery) is a sixth-generation family estate in the Alexander Valley of Sonoma County, on a 448-acre ranch the Young family has farmed since 1858. Robert Young was the first grower to plant Cabernet Sauvignon in Alexander Valley, in 1963, building a reputation as one of the region's premier growers before launching the estate winery brand in 1997. The winery produces small-lot Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Malbec from the family's historic vineyards, with wines recognized by Wine Enthusiast and other national critics.
