Founded in 2001 by Ed Sbragia, the longtime winemaster at Beringer, whose family emigrated from Tuscany to Dry Creek Valley in 1904. Two of his Beringer wines, the 1986 Private Reserve Cabernet and 1994 Private Reserve Chardonnay, were named Wine Spectator Wine of the Year; the estate opened its Geyserville home in 2006 with son Adam as winemaker.
