Founded in 2001 by Clay Shannon, who spent eight years at Sutter Home Winery before starting his own label on family ranch land in Lake County. Shannon Ridge helped establish the High Valley AVA and remains rooted in that estate, part of a larger family operation that today also raises lamb and produces olive oil alongside its Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and Petite Sirah.
