Silverado Vineyards was founded in 1981 by Diane Disney Miller, daughter of Walt Disney, and her husband, Ron Miller. The winery sits on a knoll in the Stags Leap District AVA east of Yountville, with sweeping views across the southern Napa Valley. For four decades the Miller family built Silverado into a respected estate producer of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, drawing on vineyards in the Stags Leap District and other parts of the valley. In July 2022 Foley Family Wines bought the winery in a deal valued at more than 150 million dollars, one of the larger Napa transactions of that year. Silverado's Cabernet Sauvignon remains the core of the range, and its hilltop tasting room is a popular stop on the Silverado Trail. For shoppers, Silverado offers estate-grown Stags Leap District character from a winery that has been part of the valley's modern history since the early 1980s.
