Founded in 2007 by winemaker Trey Busch, who trained under Eric Dunham at Dunham Cellars, and business partners Jerry and Sandy Solomon, after a chance meeting at the Sun Valley Wine Auction. The winery's name and music-driven identity, complete with turntables spinning vinyl in its tasting rooms, reflect a shared philosophy of "world class wines while having the most fun that is legally possible"; its Levitation Syrah made Wine Spectator's Top 100 in 2018.
