Vida Valiente is a St. Helena estate founded in 2019 by Hayes and Susana Drumwright (Hayes also co-founded Memento Mori) alongside winemakers Sam and Nancy Kaplan. Sited at the base of Glass Mountain, the estate's obsidian-rich Cortina soils give its Cabernet Sauvignon exceptional tannic structure, with fruit also drawn from Beckstoffer To Kalon and the Coombsville High Ranch. The name means "valiant life" in Spanish — $100 from every bottle of the flagship wine, The Movement, funds the Vida Valiente Foundation's scholarships for first-generation Stanford students.
