For nearly forty years this Rutherford property on the Silverado Trail was William Harrison Vineyards & Winery. Bill Harrison traced his family's winemaking to 16th-century Italy by way of Mexico and California's Central Valley, and in the early 1980s built one of the state's first mobile bottling lines, letting small wineries bottle without their own infrastructure. He bought the nine-acre parcel in 1986, put up a winery whose façade resembles an old Western saloon, initially made wine for his uncle's Perelli-Minetti operation, and released his first William Harrison vintage in 1993, with Philip Corallo-Titus of Chappellet consulting throughout. Harrison sold in 2025 to two established Napa families — the Clarks of Amizetta Estate Winery and the Longs and Bystrowskis of David Arthur Vineyards — who renamed it William Perry after brothers William Edward and Perry Clark. Eight acres are planted to five Bordeaux reds.
